If for any reason bad energy data got recorded in the database, usually resulting in spikes in the graphs, this utility can be used to zero out the bad data. Once zeroed out, the data is gone. Thus for safety reasons we recommend performing a full backup before using this utility.
Use this utility to backup the recorded energy data to your local hard drive. Each year of recorded data takes up about two megabytes of storage on the hard drive. Also note that the backup process is quite slow. Expect it to take about 15 minutes per year of recorded data, or about eight hours to back up 30 years of data.
To back up only data falling within a certain time range, select "Partial backup" as the type of backup to perform and then enter the desired time range.
Use this utility to restore energy data from a backup file on your local hard drive. Once the restore operation has started it should not be interrupted because otherwise the database could be left in a partially restored state. If you do this inadvertently, simply restart the restore from the beginning.
Restoring data is a slow process because almost the entire database needs to be adjusted, even when only little data is actually being written.
To restore data only falling within a certain time range, select "Partial restore" as the type of restore to perform and enter the desired time range before clicking "Start Restore". This way, the data outside the selected time range will be left unchanged.
This utility lets you reboot (restart) the device, simulating the effect of temporarily turning off the power to the device.
Use this utility to upgrade the device to the latest firmware available. After the upgrade, the device will be rebooted automatically. While rebooting, the device won't be able to collect any power-data, resulting in some loss of precision for the energy-values. The reboot should take less than a minute and thus the loss of precision is usually negligible. However, to minimize such errors, it is recommended to upgrade the firmware only from time to time.
